AP or Administrative Procedures Manual
Sometimes we hear about the Administrative Procedures Manual from Management, but seem to have a hard time finding it, So we have included the link in the posting.
You can also find it by going on the Chinook site -> Board -> Board Policies

Your bargaining committee met with the employer on Oct 1 and 2
Your bargaining committee met with the employer on Oct 1 and 2. There were some significant gains made with the non-monetary items. We have moved into monetary issues, and after a lot of discussion, the teams have agreed to continue negotiations later. We have scheduled further meetings for October 24 and 25.
Your bargaining team will continue to work toward the mandate the members have given us. We will need your support now more than ever.
Violence Survey to be realeased
The long await violence surveydone by the University of Ottawa has been realeased. This group had done a national survey and the EWSC asked to have a Saskatchewan only survey done as well. We also invited the STF to particiate. The link below will take you to those results.
There is also a link to add other incidents that you may have been a part of , or witnessed.

WELCOME BACK
WELCOME BACK TO ANOTHER YEAR.
Its hard to imagine summer is already over. I hope your year goes well and I hope that any of your union troubles are non-existent. [LOL]
Your Bargaining team met during the summer to try to catch up, after we finally received the Out-of-Scope Handbook and Salary Grids from the employer. Even though we had to go to a couple of days before we were scheduled to appear in front of the Sask Labour Board, to contest the right to have those documents.
The bargaining team has also cemented 3 dates with the employer, which I hope will be fruitful.
Congratulations to everyone for coming back to school, some of you are in new positions and others are continuing to give the excellent opportunity to the leaders of tomorrow.
Omar Murray
Pres. Local 4754
