On April 30, 2024 after some last minute negotiations Chinook SD 211 and CUPE Local 4754 came to an agreement in principle. In an effort to avoid presenting our respective cases to the Saskatchewan Labour Relations Board, on May 1 and 2.
Chinook has agreed to present the union with the Out-of-Scope Personnel Handbook and the corresponding salary grids, while the union has dropped our request to view the senior administration percentage salary increase.
This decision followed recommendations from the Saskatchewan Privacy Commission that Chinook give the union access to the handbook, in its entirety, rather than the heavily redacted version they had sent to the union before.
CUPE local 4754 looks forward to a meaningful round of bargaining with Chinook School Division in the near future.
